The government has announced today in the 2020 Budget (Wednesday 11 March) an additional £403m over the next three years for the Plug-in Car Grant. They have also announced changes to the Plug-in Car Grant that will apply after 23:59 today.

Changes to the Plug-in Car Grant
The changes to the grant will mean that after 23:59 today (11/03/20)
• The Plug-in Car Grant rate will change from £3,500 to £3,000
• Premium cars costing £50,000 or more will no longer be eligible to receive the Plug-in Car Grant. This will effect models such as the Audi E-Tron, Jaguar i-pace, Tesla Model 3, S and X.
The Plug-in Car Grant will be paid at current rates and eligibility criteria for orders placed on the Portal by 23:59 today.
