Seat was formed in 1950 in Spain. At that time there were only 3 vehicles to every 1000 people in Spain. The first vehicle a 1400 saloon rolled off the production line in 1953 and immediately attracted 10 000 orders. This was a bit of a headache as the production line could only produce 5 cars per day!

From that small beginning, today Seat has produced over 16 million vehicles that sell in 77 countries and employs 14000 people in its threes production facilities.

As part of the Seat al Sol project they have just installed 53 000 solar panels at their Martorell facility. That’s the equivalent of 40 football pitches full and it generates 15 million kWh of power per year!
